Pilot Cove currently features ~2 miles of trails open on the property, with 4+ miles of machine built flow trails planned for guest use. We also feature a .4 mile closed-loop “flowtrack” course. All trails except the flowtrack are open for both hiking and biking.  Please be respectful of other hikers and bikers when using the Pilot Cove trails. Unfortunately our trails are not open to the public and are open for guest use only.

Aside from other trails, we offer a closed-loop .4 mile flow track course, complete with wooden and dirt berm features, table tops, banked turns, rollers, and a platform to watch riders below. Please be respectful of other guests and offer space while using the flow track course. As with all Pilot Cove trails, they are for guest use only and not open to the public.

outdoor event stage

Designed to host special events, small concerts, weddings, exercise activities (yoga, group fitness, etc), and community gatherings, our amphitheatre has a planned capacity of approximately 350 people. The artistic stage is built from White Oak trees harvested from the site and repurposed by local master craftsmen Faulkner Woodworking. Interested in using the space for your event? Located at the upper corner of the Pilot Cove property, surrounded by Pisgah National Forest on two sides, and accessible only by trail, Sunset Point offers views due South and West over the Davidson River Valley. A large firepit and picnic tables are available for guest use, making Sunset Point a favorite gathering spot on the trail system.
